Stephanie Fromentin is a choreographer, performer, rehearsal director, audiodescriptor and teacher in dance and yoga. She obtained her BFA in contemporary dance with distinction in 2004 at Concordia University and then moved to France to teach and work in dance while continuing to present her own creations in Europe. In 2014, Stephanie received her Master’s degree from UQÀM, focusing her research-creation on the perception and sensation of present time through the dancer's lived experience. She was recipient of the Pierre Lapointe scholarship for excellence and received five assistant teaching positions during her studies. She then obtained her 500hr Teacher Training certification from Naada Yoga in 2015 and has since trained to describe dance to the blind and visually impaired. She has taught since her adolescent years, from pre-school to adults, beginners to professionals, neurotypical and neurodivergent children and adults. Be it in yoga or dance, her teaching aims to support each individual and help them surpass their potential in a safe and humble environment. Stephanie has taught in Montreal, the United States where she grew up, and France.

Stéphanie Fromentin est une chorégraphe, interprète, répétitrice et professeure en danse et en yoga. Elle est diplômée avec distinction d'un BFA en danse contemporaine de l’Université Concordia en 2004 puis elle a déménagé à France pour enseigner et travailler en danse, tout en continuant de présenter son propre travail en Europe. En 2014 Stéphanie complète une maîtrise en danse à l’UQÀM où sa recherche-création porte sur la perception et la sensation du temps présent vécu par l’interprète en dansant. Elle fût honorée comme récipiendaire de la bourse Pierre Lapointe pour excellence académique et reçoit cinq postes d’enseignement auxiliaire au département de danse pendant sa maîtrise. Lorsqu'elle achève ses études, elle complète sa formation de certification 500hrs chez Naada Yoga en 2015. Elle s'est depuis formée pour décrire la danse aux personnes aveugles ou à basse vision. Elle enseigne depuis l'adolescence, de la pré-maternelle aux adultes, des débutant.e.s aux professionnel.les, des neurotypiques et des neurodivergents chez les enfants et les adultes. Que ce soit en yoga ou en danse, ses classes soutiennent le potentiel de chacun.e, toute en sécurité et avec humilité. Stéphanie a enseigné à Montréal, aux États-Unis d’où elle vient, et en France où elle a vécu pendant six ans.
